Hey there, I know I have very few followers right now, but I haven’t posted anything in a while.
Part of this blog isn’t about just trying to amuse people, but also helping other people that are interested or seeking advice about au pairing, living in Germany, living abroad in general, or…
So this is pretty much a comic I made on the massive reverse culture shock I received when I went to London on holiday last week. I think being in Germany my radar is always up for english speakers and other foreigners, so naturally it was going off the charts!
But aside from me being an awkward lil’ spaz and accidentally ordering my coffee auf Deutsch every morning, my trip to London was pretty rad! I hope I can get a chance to go back again!
ANOTHER AUPAIR IN DEUTSCHLAND HAS BEEN POSTED GUYS!!! CHECK IT OUT!!
How can you spot an American tourist in Europe? They take pictures of a lot of old shit.
My struggle to blend in while still trying to handle the excitement of being abroad for the first time in my life!
Hi guys! Heres another comic from my blog during my stay in Germany as an au pair. Watch my awkward foreigness unfold through a series of hastily drawn images….
Living in a new country is hard. It’s especially worse when you can’t speak the language.
This I threw together like REALLY fast, but yeah, the whole language barrier thing gets me down every now and then. It’s pretty damn discouraging, and I often wonder why the hell I’m doing this.
People keep telling me that I’ll learn more and more each day but I just feel like I’m standing still for now. But I’ve come here to learn, and experience new things, and to feel like a new person.
I really am trying the best I can.
You guys should check out my other blog where I document what an awkward little foreigner I am while living in Germany and traveling through Europe.
